Publix today

So I took my parents with my to Publix to see what couponing is all about and how much you can save. i had my $5 off $30 Publix Q with me and was using a few of my $4 Knox Q's before they expire. Well, I have definitely decided I will no longer get in a line with a cashier I do not know. This lady was determined to screw me. Seriously, we all know when you have a "$ off $ purchase" Q, that Q is BEFORE other Q's, especially when I say, please put this one in first!!

She did not put that $5 off Q in, she set is aside and asked me for my other coupons. I handed them to her and when she got to the Knox, she said I couldn't use them. I politely said I had already spoke with management about these Q's and they were legitimate but she was welcome to check with them. So she huffed off and came back, didn't say a word and just scanned them. Then she proudly told me my total was too low to use my $5 off Q. I politely told her she was suppose to use that before manufacturer Q's but I would use it later. UGH!

Why i'm I made to look like i'm stealing or trying to cheat!?!?!?! I never illegally copy Q's, I never try to get away with something I shouldn't.

Okay so i'm already mad because I was treated like a thief but I get home and study my receipt and the cashier did not scan one of my Knox coupons...that is a $4 mistake! Ah!

I quickly called the manager and was very polite, did not mention the cashier's attitude and he was very apologetic. Told me he was making a note of it in their office log so if he was not there when I came back, someone else would refund me my $4.

Not all cashiers are like this. Publix has some great cashiers and so does Wags too.

Great Deal & Great Wags Filler for the Week

I used the 3 Musketeers Truffle Crisp bars as my filler for Wags today. It's great because it's on sale, produces a RR and is the suggestive sell item. The "suggestive sell" item is usually at the front register and cashiers are required to sell a certain number per day. One cashier told me she had to sell 20. FYI- this may not be the suggestive sell item if you check out at cosmetics. So if you want to make your cashier happy that you are doing multiple transactions, use this as your filler! Here's the deal...

My frustrations...

We have all encountered this but since i'm a newbie to couponing this was my first...the picky cashier! This one cashier i've shopped with many times examined EVERY coupon I had which was embarrassing enough because there was a line. But when she got to the KNOX coupons she stopped, called the manager over and asked him if I could use it, then she scanned then soooo slowly and look at each one. SO EMBARRASSING!!!!! Does anyone have any stories to share...I just smiled and said THANK YOU! I'll be skipping her line the next time. : ) Spent $13 and saved over $50, I will post the details later.

The travel size Satin Care is around 97 cents at Target and some areas got a $1 off coupon in their 2/7 P&G (I only got 55 cents).The $1 coupon will beep and the cashier will need to either push it through or adjust it down. Target's coupon policy is to adjust the coupon down.
